Open Question: What's a good postcard direct mail headline for a sandwich shop?

My company sells kids clothes via independent sales representatives directly to the consumer and to small, local boutique stores. We do not currently have sales territories as we are more of a direct sales company than a "traditional clothing wholesaler/manufacturer". We have recently begun to expand our sales force and have been adding more and more boutique stores, several of which are in the same area, or even right next door to each other. While we would like to sell to as many stores as possible, we are finding that some stores get upset if we sell to another retailer that is close by (noting that these same stores frequently carry the same lines from other, more well known, clothing labels). Are there "best practices" that clothing lines (or other products with a similar channel strategy) use when selling to boutique stores? What's fair? What's accepted? What has worked for others? And is it only the most sought after products that can "have their cake and eat it too"? Would love some feedback. >> full story

Open Question: What does a marketing manager or PR manager position pay in Australia? ?

Hi guys, My boyfriend and I are considering emigrating to Australia next year and so I'm scoping out salaries for both of our jobs. I am a PR & Insight manager with 4 years experience in direct mail, brand management and PR and comms.
My boyfriend is a panel beater with about 14 years experience.
Any ideas? Plus does anyone know if these are hard to get into once over there?
Thanks in advance >> full story
